Web design: to draw is to see

todrawistosee.com is the home for the educational side of what I do. The objectives for this website were to provide information about the workshops I offer, to introduce my style of teaching and vision on learning how to draw, as well as provide a home for the digital resources I offer my audience.

The target audience for this website are people who are looking to learn how to learn drawing or lettering, specifically in the Berlin area, as well as companies looking to hire a workshop teacher.

The logo is a little transcription of “to draw is to see”, using simple icons of a pencil and an eye. I used hand lettering to write out the website title in an interesting and appealing way.

The site is laid out in white and warm grey tones, combined with orange, mint green and pink as accent colours. For the free resources I used the same colour scheme and visual type mark.

This website is also a place for me to share my thoughts on drawing and creativity. I have a collection of articles about my view on why creative practice is important, why it adds value and why it is under-appreciated in our society. It also explains my own personal style of teaching, how I came to draw and how I came to teach.
